k에서 방출되는 Υ-선을 이용한 FFM 산출방법에 대한 연구

- Abstract
- Potassium consists of three naturally occuring isotopes, ?K, ?K and ?K, whose respective abundances are 93.08%, 0.0118% and 6.91%. ?K of natural radiocative isotopes, by virtue of the widespread distribution of potassium in the environment. exists in human body, especially is found in bones and muscles. This element emittes γ-ray with energy of 1.46 MeV, and concentration of ?K in human body can by obtained by means of whole body counter. In this study, we calculated the total mass of potassium in human body using concentration and specific activity of ?K. Finally, we obtained the FFM(Fat Free Mass) using this total mass of potassium. This calculation procedure may be useful to estimation of fatness.
