Abstract: The fisheries and aquaculture sector is an important sector in Egypt, as it supports the national income, provide a source of nutrition, and provide a source of income. Fisheries management can be improved by education and training systems in different stages. A survey was design to understand the role of fisheries education and training in the management of fisheries sector in Egypt. The outcomes show that fisheries education and training have some issues that prevent them from doing the expected role in fisheries management. These issues can be solved mainly by better coordination between education and training providers with the privet sector and other stakeholders in the sector.
