Landslide Risk Analysis and its Safety Securing Plan Establishment using High Resolution Geospatial Information
Abstract
This study presents the risk analysis and securing plan for the landslide of natural and artificial slopes around National Road (Route 4) caused by heavy rainfall from typhoon Kongray in 2018. By carrying this study out, it canbe secure the function of arterial roads and improves traffic stability through flood restoration work to relieve the inconvenience of local residents. For more precise and efficient landslide risk analysis, various geospatial information related to landslide occurrence was acquired and utilized in the study area. Through this, it can be suggested an optimal safety securing plan were suggested in the study area. It was firstly performed, the topographic status and landslide event records on the location of landslide occurrence in study area were investigated based on the past and present topographic map, and also additional LiDAR surveying and field survey data such as geology, land, rainfall, and drilling data etc., and then those were made into a geospatial information database for landslide risk analysis based on GIS tools with numerical analysis methods. In addition, various measurement sensors such as inclinometer, water level gauge, water pressure gauge, inclinometer, and surveying prism were installed at major points of landslide location, and to periodically acquire measurement data related to landslide risk analysis. Afterwards, the geospatial information data were compiled to analyze the results of the geotechnical survey to evaluate the landslide risk anaysis with numerical method. Based on the results from analysis, the optimal safety securing plan for reducing the landslide risk in the study area were reviewed. As a result of this study, a more precise analysis of landslide risk and efficient securing plan to ensure the landslide safety were established. It is expected that the result of study can be practically used for flood restoration work, ground reinforcement project and construction plans etc.
