경량전철의 IGBT 전력공급시스템에 대한 PWM제어 알고리즘에 관한 연구
- Abstract
- Currently, most urban railways use a diode rectifier as a rectifying method for a DC(direct current) power supply system. Diodes can not control the output voltage, and reverse conduction is not possible, making it impossible to utilize regenerative power flowing from a train to a substation. Therefore, a separate regenerative inverter is installed to reduce regenerative power. On the other hand, if PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) rectifier using IGBT(Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) is implemented, the output voltage can be controlled, the voltage drop of the DC power supply system is reduced, and a separate regenerative inverter is not required.

PWM rectifiers using IGBT have these advantages, but their cost is higher than conventional diode rectifiers, so they have not been developed and applied in Korea so far. However, by replacing the diode rectifier of the same capacity with the PWM rectifier, the voltage drop can be reduced, and a separate regenerative inverter facility and installation space can be reduced. In this case, the PWM rectifier is high in price compared to existing facilities, but it is possible to save the regenerative inverter facilities and high construction cost, and thus it is possible to take economical efficiency.
In this paper, a PWM control algorithm using an IGBT converter that can supply DC power and regenerative operation and does not require a regenerative device is proposed. 5 [kW] miniaturized IGBT converter was fabricated and the validity of the proposed control algorithm was verified. Future research will be to study the P and I values which are most suitable for IGBT converter control for the improvement of the energy efficiency of the urban railway light railway, and apply it to the actual capacity IGBT converter.
