병원간호사의 인권감수성과 간호근무환경이 직장 내 괴롭힘에 미치는 영향

- The Effects of Human Rights Sensitivity and Nursing Work Environment on Workplace Bullying in Hospital Nurses
- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to identify the factors affecting nurses’ workplace bullying in general hospitals. General hospital nurses were investigated regarding the degree of workplace bullying, human rights sensitivity and nursing work environment. The participants were 255 nurses from five general hospitals in Busan. The data was collected during the month of July 2018 and a structured self-reporting questionnaire was used. The data was analyzed with SPSS WIN 23.0 program by using t-test. ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson′s correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis.
The results of the analysis were as follows:
1) The total mean score of workplace bullying was 1.84±0.67 and the percentage of victims was 20.8%.
2) There was a significant difference in workplace bullying depending on shift work, being bullied during six months, and being a witness to bullying.
3) Workplace bullying showed negative correlations with the nursing work environment.
4) The multiple regression analysis looked at being a witness to bullying, organizational support, head nurse’s leadership, relationship with coworkers in the nursing work environment. A model, including all the four factors mentioned above, explained 37% of variation in nurses’ workplace bullying. Among the four factors, being a witness to bullying was the most influential.
Based on the results, it is necessary that nurse managers should constantly endeavor to improve the nursing work environment. In addition, if hospital executives and nurse managers are concerned then they should apply a training program for enhancing human rights sensitivity, then workplace bullying can be prevented and managed.
