A Study on the Situation and Characteristics of Contact Spaces in Apartment Complexes
Abstract
This study is intended to focus on the current status of plans and various problems related to the interface space between the street and the complex in the new apartment complex in Haeundae, the planned new city of Busan. The analysis results are summarized as follows.
First, in the 'urban-residential complex' interface space, the access space is open with a sense of openness, but the distinction between the external connecting lanes and the pedestrian paths is often unclear or absent. It was also shown that the huge retaining walls built on the face of the earth had isolated the complex from the city and formed a closed image. However, the linear pedestrian-only road connecting the complex to the city is preventing disconnection between the complex and the complex, making it a medium for moving and networking through walking. However, it is analyzed that although it can play a very good role as an open space, it is not planned to serve as a venue for common activities and communication other than the passageway.
Second, the only space available to pedestrians between the residential area and the outdoor space in the 'residential complex' and 'residential building' interface space is the entrance and exit, and even this is a parking lot-oriented plan, with a narrow pedestrian path. In some cases, there are structures installed in the complex that prevent safe movement, and in some cases, the walking route in the complex is cut off due to internal roads, and when it is intended to move out of the residential area, it is not sufficient to secure walkways for pedestrians, including the weak, and to provide efficient movements and walking conditions.
Third, the design is designed not to take into account the weak of walking, such as the distant route through the stairs and the ramp if there is an entrance through a shopping mall in the street that connects the residential area with the city in the junction-linked space. In addition, small parks and other parks are planned around residential complexes, but the size is smaller than the size of the entire new city and serves as a connected green space.
