중국의 대외 철강분쟁사례에 관한 연구

Abstract

The steel is essentially the lifeline of the national economy, and its every move has been the focus of the government and the steel industry association. Since China joined the WTO in 2001, with the sustained rapid economic growth and the rapid expansion of foreign trade, trade frictions with developed countries such as the United States and Europe have become increasingly fierce, and China's foreign trade has begun to enter a period of high friction. China has been one of the countries with the most anti-dumping investigations in the world for many years and is one of the biggest victims of global trade disputes. Among them, China's steel products are the hardest hit by trade remedy investigations, and are the core products of China's trade friction. In recent years, the number of cases has generally shown an upward trend. From 1991 to the end of 2016, foreign anti-dumping measures against Chinese steel involved 24 countries and regions, involving more than 10 billion yuan, which attracted international attention and provoked much debate. This article will cover the iron and steel disputes after China's accession to the World Trade Organization. Focusing on the major steel disputes between China and the top three trading partners, the European Union, the United States and Japan. By analyzing causes, their respective background, general processes and trial results of various disputes, we can identify some issues, and through the analysis of steel dispute cases, put forward practical solutions, as well as observe China's foreign anti-dumping strategies.
