- Abstract
- Through this project, “Brake-Motor Circuit Fault Diagnostic System” was developed to inform the user of the cause of failure and the method of action for each failure case in Brake-Motor.
This project had been divided into two parts. One is for Intelligent machine part and the other is for ICT part. Regarding the Intelligent machine part, we developed the main part and the sensor part, also created the algorithm for determining brake circuit abnormality and occurring alarm then made additionally the LCD screen for monitoring. For ICT, we developped network communication (RS-485 & Ethernet), integrated operation S/W and PLC communication protocol for each Global maker.
After having analyzed the cause of failure by way of monitoring brake motor MCs, AC voltages, and DC voltage and current, the system inborms the cause of the failure by means of monitor, mobile phone and two-way radio.
Currently there is no effective monitoring system for Brake-Motor in domestic and foreign country and this project will help to ensure that huge cost savings and increased production are expected by reducing the emergency shutdown of the production line caused by Brake-Motor failure.
