Abstract: This study aims to analyze the English verb ‘open’ and Chinese counterpart ‘kai’. Though the semantic network of 'open' and 'kai' based on the theoretical system of Francois(2008), help to draw the semantic map of this two verbs to showChinese counterpart 'kai' and English 'open" collaborates an inherent inside space and a repeatedly usable door-like device. This study also based on the objects of the transitive verbs, and the different parts of the semantic map can help us to understand why some of different objects can be colexified in the same way and others can be colexified in different ways.
본 연구는 Francois(2008)가 제시한 어휘 유형유형론을바탕으로 영어 대응사 'open'과 중국어 대응사 'kai'를 분석했다. 'open'와 'kai'의 의미는 Francois(2008)의 어휘유형론를 바탕으로 분석하고, 두동사의 의미지도를 그리며중국어 대응사 'kai'와 영어 대응사 'open'를 설명한다. 두단어는 또같은 내적 공간과 중복할 수 있는 문모양의 결합이다. 본 연구는 타동사의 목적어를 바탕으로 어휘의미지도에 따라 왜 목적어가 같은 방식으로 통합될 수 있지만 어떤상황에는 다른 방식으로 결합할 수 있다.
