경로기반 가시영역 이론을 활용한 안도 다다오 미술관 시지각적 분석

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 안도 다다오의 미술관 건축에서 공통적으로 드러나는 특성들에 대하여 관람자의 시지각적 관점에서 그 물리적·체험적 실체를 확인하는 데 있다. 본 연구에서는 일본 나오시마 섬 소재의 베네세하우스 미술관, 지추 미술관, 이우환 미술관을 대상으로 하고, 관람자 관점의 시지각적 공간분석을 위해 경로기반 가시영역 분석기법을 활용하였다. 안도 다다오의 미술관 건축이 공통적으로 지니는 특성들 중 '강제하는 우회', '미로적인 동선', '개방과 폐쇄'를 선정하고, 분석대상 미술관 내에서의 실제 관람객 이동 경로에 대한 경로기반 가시영역 분석을 수행하여, 그 분석결과들이 '강제하는 우회', '미로적인 동선', '개방과 폐쇄'를 각각 설명 가능한지 검토하였다. 그리고 분석 결과들을 정성적 연구들과 비교하여 관람자의 시각에서 바라본 미술관 설계를 해석하였다.

The purpose of this study is to identify the physical and heuristic substance of the characteristics common to the art museums by Ando Tadao from the perspective of visitors' visual perception. The objects of this study were selected as the Benesse House Art Museum, Chichu Art Museum, and Lee Ufan Art Museum in Naoshima Island, Japan, and the spatial analysis technique of 'Isovist along path' was used for visual perceptional analysis from visitors' viewpoint. The characteristics of 'Forced detour', 'Mazeous circulation' and 'Open/Closed' were selected among the characteristics common to the art museums by Tadao Ando, ​​and the analyses of 'Isovist along path' were conducted for ​​actual visitors' movement paths within the three museums. Then, the results of the analyses were examined to see if they could explain 'Forced detour', 'Mazeous circulation', and 'Open/Closed' respectively.
