유아교사의 그릿과 심리적소진의 관계에서 직무스트레스 대처방식의 매개효과

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 유아 교사의 그릿과 심리적소진의 관계에서 직무스트레스 대처 (문제해결중심 대처와 지지추구중심 대처)의 매개효과를 살펴보는데 있다. 본 연구의 목적달성을 위하여 경기도, 충청도, 경상도, 제주도에 소재한 401명의 유아 교사를 대상으로 그릿, 심리적소진, 직무스트레스대처에 관한 설문을 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0을 활용하여 변인들 간의 관련성을 살펴보기 위해 상관분석을 실시하고, 매개효과를 알아보기 위해 중다회귀분석을 하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 첫째, 유아 교사의 그릿은 문제해결중심 스트레스대처 및 지지추구중심 스트레스대처와 유의한 정적상관을 나타냈으며, 심리적 소진과는 유의한 부적 상관을 보였다. 문제해결중심 스트레스대처 및 지지추구중심 스트레스대처는 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 심리적 소진은 문제해결중심 스트레스대처 및 지지추구중심 스트레스대처와 유의한 부적상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 그릿이 심리적 소진에 미치는 영향을 문제해결중심 스트레스대처 및 지지추구중심 스트레스대처가 부분 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 유아교사의 그릿이 인지 문제해결중심 스트레스대처와 지지추구중심 스트레스대처를 매개로 하여 심리적 소진으로 가는 경로를 보여주며, 심리적 소진을 낮추는데 있어 그릿뿐 아니라 문제해결중심 스트레스대처와 지지추구중심 스트레스대처가 중요함을 보여준다. 따라서 심리적 소진이 높은 유아교사를 대상으로 상담적 개입이나 프로그램 참여를 통하여 스트레스대처 수준을 증진시킨다면 유아교사의 심리적 소진으로 인해 나타나는 여러 가지 문제들을 해결하는데 도움이 될 것으로 예상할 수 있다. 마지막으로, 본 연구의 의의와 제한점 및 추후 연구제언을 논하였다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate mediated effect of problem solving focused stress coping and social support seeking focused stress coping in relations between grit and burnout of infant teachers. The subjects of this study were 401 infant teachers in Gyeonggi Province, Chungcheong Provinces, Gyeongsang Provinces, and province Jeju and they were asked about grit, burnout, and stress coping with questionnaire. Correlation analysis was conducted on the gathered data so as to find out relevance among variables and multiple regression analysis was implemented in order to find out the mediated effect by use of SPSS 21.0. The primary of the findings of this study is that the infant teachers’ grit shows a significant positive correlation related with problem solving focused stress coping, and social support seeking focused stress coping, while it shows a negative correlation with the teachers’ burnout. There is a positive correlation between problem solving focused stress coping and social support seeking focused stress coping while burnout shows a significant negative correlation related with problem solving focused stress coping and social support seeking focused stress coping. Second, it is found that problem solving focused stress coping and social support seeking focused stress coping partly mediate the effect of the teachers’ grit on burnout. These findings show that grit of the infant teachers’ shows the path to burnout by mediating perception problem solving focused stress coping and social support seeking focused stress coping, and implicate that not only grit is important to decrease burnout, but also problem solving focused stress coping and social support seeking focused stress coping is. Therefore, if the level of stress coping of infant teachers with higher burnout would be increased by the help of counseling intervention or participation in programs, it could be expected that a variety of problems caused by burnout of the teachers would be solved properly. Finally, suggestions and limits of this study and suggestions of the following studies are discussed based on the findings above.
