보육교사의 인성이 직장 내 인간관계에 미치는 영향: 행복감의 매개효과
- Abstract
- A purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effect of happiness in the relationships between the personality of childcare teachers and human relationships in the workplace.
For the purpose, two research questions were selected.
First, the correlations between the personality, happiness, and human relationships of childcare teachers in the workplace were confirmed.
Second, the mediating effect of happiness in the relationship between the personality of the childcare teacher and the human relationship in the workplace was confirmed.
Participants of this study were 290 teachers working at childcare centers in Busan metropolitan city. Surveys were distributed to those teachers including the assessment tool about teachers’ personality, human relationships in the workplace, and the happiness. Collected data were analyzed by examining the participants’ characteristics, implementing correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis.
The results of the study are as follows.
First, personality and happiness of childcare teachers showed positive correlation with sub-factors of personality. Human relations and happiness also showed positive correlation with sub-factors of personality. It provides that teachers with good personality have smooth human relationships in the workplace, and happiness also increases in these relationships.
Second, happiness was found to be a partial parameter in the relationship between the personality and human relations of childcare teachers. This partly refers to the importance of happiness through interpersonal relationships in the workplace.
These research results have shown that the personality of childcare teachers is a variable that directly affects human relations in the workplace, and the overall quality of childcare teachers can be seen through their happiness in the relations between the personality and human relations.
