Drug loading and extraction of Oil from Polymer Film using supercritical carbon dioxide
Abstract
In this paper, a study was conducted on drug support and oil extraction through a Solventless process using supercritical carbon dioxide. As the carrier of the drug-bearing experiment, β-Cyclodextrin in which an acetyl group exists was used. OMP was supported with drugs using these carriers, and it was proved that the size of particulates could be adjusted by adjusting each experimental condition. The OMP supported on the carrier showed behavior of continuous release over a long period of time, ignoring the short half-life time at the above temperature and pH. In addition, in the experiment of oil extraction, oil was extracted from Polymer film without using Solvent. The characteristics of carbon dioxide oil extraction according to temperature and pressure were shown. And the effect of particle size on extraction during the extraction process was shown. Through the CO2 flowing technology, a rapidly increased oil extraction technology was presented. The size of the fine particles according to each condition was checked, and the surface of the film from which the extract was removed was measured using SEM. The comparison of drug support and extracted oil was confirmed through H-NMR Spectra. The drug support and oil extraction process using supercritical carbon dioxide not only offers industrial efficiency at a low price but also offers an eco-friendly process against environmental regulations.
