- Abstract
- Gas flow rate measurement has been mainly performed to measure and control the gas flow rate used to various industries. Especially, the Korean Air Force has secured air flow standards to calibrate equipment that directly affects aircraft operation. The method of creating gas flow rate used by the Korean Air Force has been based on the sonic nozzle (sonic gas flow calibrator).
Sonic gas flow calibrator has been calibrated by checking the pressure and temperature every 5 months. Among them, temperature has determined the flow rate of the sonic nozzle and the actual flow rate that supply to the test instruments during calibration. Temperature measurement has used the method of converting the signal of resistance temperature detectors to the temperature value using a polynomial. If the temperature was out-of-tolerence, this polynomial must be changed, but it hasn’t been specified exactly how to make it.
In the study, the most suitable interpolation method was selected by comparing polynomial interpolation methods, and the effect was confirmed by appling it to the standard flow rate calculation.
