Salt effect of nisin Z isolated from a marine fish on the growth inhibition of Streptococcus iniae, a pathogen of streptococcosis
- Abstract
- 넙치의 장내에서 Bacteriocin을 생산사하는 Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis를 분리하였다. Bacteriocin을 정제 하여 동정한 결과 다음의 생화학적 결과 (MALDI-TOF MS, DNA sequence analyses, Gram-positive bacteria에 대한 활성)들을 바탕으로 nisin Z임을 밝혀내었다. 3,200 arbitrary units (AU)의 Nisin Z는 바닷물과 함께 처리 하였을때 PBS보다 효과가 더욱 증대되는 것을 확인하였으며 3시간이내에 S. iniae 의 성장을 완벽하게 저지하였다. 3.5% NaCl과 함께 nisin Z를 첨가하였을 때, 바닷물을 첨가했을때와 같이 효과가 증대되었다. 이러한 결과들은 L. lactis subsp. lactis 가 생산하는 nisin Z는 양식산업 내에서 S. iniae에 의해 야기되는streptococcosis를 예방하기 위한 항생제를 대신하는 좋은 후보물질임을 암시하였다.
