Abstract
The Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources acquired 3D seismic data from the Ulleung Basin, East Sea in 2006 and 2008 as part of pre-drill study of gas hydrate. The 3D seismic data acquired in 2006 were initially processed using a very basic processing sequence for a quick review. In this study, I processed the 3D seismic data acquired in 2006, using ProMAX3D, following a complete processing sequence that included flex binning, true amplitude recovery, zero-phase deconvoluiton, dip moveout, migration, and foot-print attenuation. The processed data reveal detailed structural and stratigraphic features that were not observed previously.
