Abstract
In this study, physical and mechanical properties of recycled aggregates and recycled aggregate concretes were analyzed, and a research was carried out to find a practical application of precast culvert containing recycled aggregate. To study this, The results from numerical analysis and structural model test of the precast concrete culvert containing recycled aggregate was compared..
The results from this study was as follows
The results of failure strength of structural model test between culvert containing fresh aggregate and recycled aggregate were found out to be higher than those of numerical analysis,
The physical characteristics between culvert containing fresh aggregate and containing 30% recycled aggregate of total aggregate were all most same and structural function of culvert containing recycled aggregate was found out to be about 94% of fresh ones. According to the result of the consideration on it, design techniques and optimum analysis methods were constructed. After that, structural model tests with precast recycled aggregate concrete test specimens were implemented, and using possibility of recycled aggregate concrete culvert was examined comparing analysis results and experimental data.
