A Study on the Practical Use of Humor Text in Speaking&Listening Education
Abstract
Humor texts are very useful for learners to express their own experiences and emotion creatively and effectively. By sharing various opinions, thinking power & problem-solving ability will be improved.
Furthermore I searched when teacher should use humors in class, and made a strategy for how teachers use humors.
It is discussed some theories of humors in the field of Korean language and literature education as a background by investigating the definition of humorous text, and also its types and characteristics. The objects of this thesis are speeches, lectures, and entertainment show programs such as soap-opras, comedy shows and talk shows in which humors take place.
Base on structure of class, I searched when teachers should use humors in class, and suggested how teachers use humors.
In addition, it is embodied the concrete models of pragmatic education with humor texts that can be applied in actual Listening&Speaking education.
Using humors in class must have conclution. Hence, there is an assumption
which insist that making a strategy by textuality should be an appropriate analysis tools.
This study examines the assumption and supports other theories which have positive perspection for Humor. And if humor is related with the subject of class, it causes positive atmosphere and also has effect on the purpose of class. So it will be expected that humor will be a successful tool in class.
After this study, further research & development about using humors in class makes better environment for learners.
Finally, I expect that it can be a chance to open varied and brisk study on scheming practical use of teacher's humors.
