FPSO용 Knuckle Boom Pedestal Offshore Crane 구조설계에 관한 연구

Abstract
Currently, the global demand for energy is increasing by nearly 20 percent. Therefore, the technical development of the whole world in the future would need to focus on securing energy and it is expected that the technical trend would aim for extracting and discovering energy including oil and natural gas buried in the deep sea. The continuing high oil price is bring huge profits to worldwide oil majors and they are constantly increasing orders for marine plants like Drillship, FPSO and others, enjoying a boom.
Following this trend, currently, many domestic large shipbuilding plants are concentrating on marine plants from ships and are steadily increasing orders for marine plants such as Drillship, FPSO and others, too. However, the market for marine plant equipments and materials is still occupied by Europe and the U.S.A. in fact. At this point, promoting marine plant equipments and materials on the national scale would help domestic enterprises improve global competitiveness and create high values, escaping from the effects of Europe and the U.S.A.
This study mainly aims to evaluate the structural stability through basic design and detail design of a crane for localizing a 85 ton-Knuckle Boom Pedestal Offshore Crane. The 85 ton-Knuckle Boom Pedestal Offshore Crane is installed in the main deck of the top of marine plants like Drillship and FPSO to handle heavy equipments and materials, Raiser rack and Pipe rack, or to transfer heavy equipments and materials from a supply vessel.
Particularly, this research laid emphasis on stress analysis of Pedestal, stress and buckling analysis of Cylinder and stress analysis of King-post and Boom, in order to evaluate the structural stability of the designed 85 ton-Knuckle Boom Pedestal Offshore Crane.
