중학교 1학년 수학 교과서의 수학사 내용 비교 분석

- Abstract
- Many students think that mathematics is hard and boring thing. We firmly believe that using mathematics history can be useful method to change students' attitude and to motivate students. Therefore, this research has compared a mathematics history in textbooks for middle school students who are especially in 1st grade and will suggest useful mathematics history for each chapters to keep students' interest in study.
First, we researched the importance of mathematics history and needs of teaching mathematics history including effects and directions. The class using mathematics history can not only keep students's interest but also make students understand mathematics easily.
Second, we have compared 10 kinds of mathematics textbook for middle school student 1st graders. We found out that every textbook has different mathematics history and it doesn't have enough contents.
Third, with the result of the research, we recommend mathematics history for each chapters to motivate students and help them study mathematics effectively.
To use mathematics history for classes, I hope that students understand development of mathematics and have the strong will to study mathematics by themselves.
