- Abstract
- One of 21st century life style definer would be 'well-being'. It is a movement toward sane body and sane soul of contemporary people tired of materialism and alienation. Health and disease became priority concern more than any time.
Knowledges about health and disease inhabited in adolescency could determine the factors for the lifetime. And high school Life Science I textbook can be the best curriculum for the subject of health and disease, where correct education is needed.
In this study, we will select three kinds of high school Life Science I textbook according to revised curriculum in 2009 to analyse pages, structure, theme, research activity, and further readings in chapter 'Homeostasis and Health'
In this study, we can comprehend the degree of reference of each publisher's textbook to the aim of revised curriculum in 2009 to be employed for the selection of textbook and curriculum operations.
However, this study only focused on chapter 'Homeostasis and Health' and research contents were confined to partial areas. And further study can be proposed.
First, overall analysis of research genre and contents of Life Science I will reveal in the composition of the textbook the ratio of developmental research activities. Next, analysis of ratio and categories of articles developing creativity and human nature can be suggested to match the aims of revised curriculum in 2009.
