Abstract
This paper aims to evaluate the efficiency of the Yangon’s ports using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). This paper provides a preliminary analysis of Yangon’s port sector for the period (2001 to 2011) using DEA in order to assess the impact of transformation. This method is used to measure the efficiencies of Yangon’s four important terminals. This method is constructed with six input factors ( numbers of cranes, numbers of berths, berth length, apron length, yard area, shed area) and two output factors ( Throughput, vessel calls). Additional study is compared with Busan New important terminal (HJNC) and Yangon’s 4 terminals.
