老人 福祉 施設의 居住 空間에 관한 計劃的 硏究: 釜山 地域 養老院을 中心으로

Abstract

Korea will in the near future, be faced with the serious problem of the old just like the developed countries, western countries. Until now, the researches on a public welfare facilities of the aged have mainly been made much of the establishment of the facilities of an asylum for the aged in order to take care of the tedium of the old, and other researches on the old people’s welfare have partly been proceeded as a part of problems on physically handicapped people by the western way of life. First of all, this research is made the study of the facilities of an asylum for the aged suitable for our traditional way of life and added the function of medical facilities for the old who have no one to depend on. According as this research has been examined: 1) Considering the result of having estimated the demand of the facilities of an asylum for the aged in the future for the old over 65 years old who have no one to depend on in Pusan, we get to know there is a regional preponderance of the facilities of an asylum for the aged. 2) Considering the result of analysis in size of a bedroom suitable for the life of Korean sitting style. It is supposed it is needed over 5.0 square every each person, and in occasion of a married life, over 5.9 square every each person. 3) Considering the result of analysis in size of the space of a toilet and bathroom: when the old being paralyzed on one side(people who are half-dependent to others) take a bath and go to the toilet-room(a person do it and another helps him by holding arms), needed over 4.9 square every each room. When the old being paralyzed on bath sides(people who are complete-dependent to others) take a bath and go to the toilet-room(a person do it and the other two persons help him by holding his arms), needed over 7.6 square every each room. In addition to these size to the minimum, we have to set up a movable chair for washing one’s face, the stair for helping in entering a bathtub, the board holed for being reined which can be opened and shutted. Instead of doing away with threshold for entering and coming out, the facility for a trench is needed. Sooner or later, as we can guess disorderliness of facilities which will be a very serious problem. We have to compare and examine the facilities of an asylum for the aged of the advanced countries, America, Japan, Canada, England and Germany, etc. Hence, this research is internded for detailed regulations for the application of a plan on the standard of the facilities of an asylum for the aged suitable for Korean sitting style.
