Abstract

The purpose of this study was proposed as a strategy for the development of the deep-sea fisheries in Korea, focusing on the restoration of red squid fishing grounds in the North Pacific Ocean. In Chapter I, the purpose of the research, the method of the research, and the prior research were conducted, and the management analysis and technical analysis were conducted through the data, interviw of fisheries specialist and prior research in the method of the study. Chapter II presented the reasons why the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries should take the lead in developing fishing grounds by analyzing the production structure and management status of the deep-sea fisheries. Chapter III suggests that the most economical fishing grounds is to be restored to red squid fishing grouds in the North Pacific and to catch squid. Chapter IV provided a technical approach to restoring red squid fishing grounds in the North Pacific. As a result, I found that the most problematic thing was the dropout rate of squid in fishing. In order to reduce the dropout rate, it was suggested that fishing gear was developed for red squid fish. Chapter V concluded that the strategy for the development of Korea's deep-sea fisheries should be managed and restored to the North Pacific red squid fishery, and that fishing needle and jigging machine should be developed technically for the North Pacific red squid fish.
