대학의 내부역량이 기술이전성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구
- Abstract
- Technology transfer, which transfers the technology created as a result of research by university researchers to the industry through industry-university cooperation, has spread widely, and the performance of technology transfer is an important indicator for judging a university's competency among the achievements of industry-university cooperation, and it can be said that it is a practical performance that enables the university to acquire financial resources.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the influencing factors within the university and the relationship between these factors on the university technology transfer performance in order to create and continuously spread excellent research outcomes of the university.
Through previous studies, it has been confirmed that the university's internal competency is an important factor for the creation of the university's technology transfer performance. As factors influencing the performance of technology transfer, it was divided into technology development competency, human competency, and organizational infrastructure competency that can measure the internal competency of the university. And the patent performance was presented as an intermediate output competency.
This study extracted and analyzed items related to factors affecting the performance of technology transfer from the information disclosure data of universities from 2017 to 2019 published through the University Alert, and The target of analysis is 81 universities with minimal technology transfer performance. The verification of the structural equation model was empirically analyzed using Smart PLS 3.0, and the results were presented.
The factors influencing the university's internal competency on patent performance were in the order of research expenses per full-time professor, the number of personnel in charge of technology transfer, the number of personnel in the industry-academic cooperation foundation, the area of research facilities, and the number of full-time faculty. The factors that influence the university's internal competency on the technology transfer performance were analyzed to have an effect in the order of the area of research facilities, the number of papers published, the number of dedicated personnel for technology transfer, and research expenses per full-time professor.
This study empirically analyzed whether the university's internal competency affects technology transfer performance through patent performance. The implications of the analysis results are to enhance the quality of university research performance by strengthening the internal capacity of the university, and it is expected that by reinvesting the profits generated through patent performance improvement and technology transfer, it will be possible to establish a virtuous cycle system for improving university research capabilities and fulfill the university's social responsibilities.
