초등 방과 후 음악줄넘기 참여자의 또래 동기분위기가 학습목표, 수업참여와 신체활동 의도에 미치는 영향
- Abstract
- Childhood is a period of vigorous physical development, and it is the most important period for maintaining and promoting physical strength and having a sound mind. Today, due to rapid industrial technological development and knowledge-oriented functionalist education, physical education classes have been replaced by major subjects and physical fitness has improved, but students' physical fitness has declined (Educational Statistics, 1993) and this imbalance is causing problems in elementary school students' will and self-control (Park Chan-kyo, 1996). In addition, youth problems are caused by career problems due to competition, relationship formation with friends, conflict, and school violence. Therefore, the persistence of exercise of participants in music jump rope class can vary depending on the influence of their peers who participate in music jump rope exercise together and what goal they participate in class, which can be an important variable in understanding physical activity intention. Therefore, this researcher is meaningful in verifying the effect of peer motivation on learning goals, class participation, and physical activity intention through music jump rope that students can easily and interestingly access, and providing basic data for lifelong sports. This study is significant in that it identified elementary school students' learning goals, class participation, and physical activity intentions for the peer-motivated atmosphere of music jump rope participants. In order to identify the purpose of the study, a study was conducted on 266 elementary school students participating in after-school music jump rope classes taught by researchers located in Busan Metropolitan City in 2022. The questionnaire used in this study consisted of 74 questions, including 3 questions on personal characteristics, 21 questions on peer motivation, 27 questions on learning goals, 19 questions on participation in class, and 4 questions on physical activity.
First, it was found that the task-oriented motivation atmosphere among the peer-motivated atmosphere perceived by elementary school students participating in music jump rope was a major leading variable that positively affected elementary school students' learning goals and had a greater influence on internal goals than external goals. On the other hand, it was found that the self-centered motivation atmosphere had no effect on internal goals, but only external goals. Second, among the peer-motivated atmosphere perceived by elementary school students participating in music jump rope, the task-oriented motivation atmosphere was found to be a major leading variable that positively influenced elementary school students' participation in class. On the other hand, it was found that the self-centered motivation atmosphere only affects subjective participation. Third, it was found that the task-oriented motivation atmosphere among the peer-motivated atmosphere perceived by elementary school students participating in music jump rope had a positive effect on the physical activity intention of elementary school students in the future, but the self-centered motivation atmosphere had no effect. As a result, this study confirmed that a task-oriented motivation atmosphere is very important in pursuing goals based on internal motivation resources of elementary school students and participating in music jump rope classes more actively and proactively. In addition, even after the jump rope class, it was confirmed that the task-oriented motivation atmosphere was important for children to participate in continuous physical activities on their own in the future.Through the results and discussions of this study, the tasks to be considered in subsequent studies are as follows.First, as this study is a study of cross-sectional design, there is a limit to investigating the causal relationship. Therefore, in future studies, it is necessary to study how these changes in the motivation atmosphere affect various sports using various qualitative methods such as participatory observation and interviews and through a longitudinal approach.Second, in this study, a study was conducted on elementary school students participating in music jump rope classes directly taught by this researcher. In future studies, it is necessary to verify the effectiveness of the peer-motivated atmosphere through research on various sports for life.
