‘혐오’에 따른 보도 프레임 비교연구

Abstract

The present study analyses the reporting framework based on the use of the term "disgust" in gender issues. The gender issues of Chosun Ilbo and Hankyoreh, which were reported between 2018 and 2021, were analyzed, and the frameworks of Iyengal (1991) and Semetko & Balkenberg (2000) were borrowed. The findings are as follows. In research question 1, the framework for the use of hate words throughout gender issues was analyzed. The proportion of episode frameworks is higher in the format framework than in the semantic framework, while the proportion of contradictory frameworks, private responsibility frameworks, ethical frameworks, and accusation frameworks is higher in the content framework. In research question 2, the hot spots are classified and the content framework is analyzed. Although the details of the four categories of agenda are different, the proportion of frameworks is generally greater when the word "disgust" is used in conflict frameworks and ethical frameworks. In question 3, the format framework and content framework are analyzed according to the medium. Formally, the Chosun Ilbo shows more of an episode frame than the use of the word "Hate." In the Korean people, more atomic frames appear when the word "Hate" is used, and more episode frames appear when not used. It was confirmed that both media accounted for a higher percentage of hate expressions in the content frameworks when the public responsibility frameworks and the censure frameworks included hate expressions, and that the proportion of reporting frames varies depending on the use of hate expressions. This study is meaningful in that it points out the direction in which the phenomenon of disgust itself is viewed through the analysis of the word "Hate."
