Supply Chain Relationship Quality and Corporate Technological Innovation

Abstract

In practice, technological innovation has increasingly become essential for enterprises to cope with global competition and obtain sustainable development. An increasing number of companies rely on supply chain resources in the technology development process. Based on the framework of knowledge resource orchestration and the survey data of Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers in China’s automotive industry, this study comprehensively analyzed the influencing factors of technological innovations in supply chain enterprises. The analysis of the research by the Bootstrapping method found that supply chain relationship quality (SCRQ) positively impacts corporate technological innovations, in which knowledge sharing and knowledge integration play a dual mediating role. The fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) investigation revealed that individual elements do not constitute a necessary condition for high-tech innovations in supply chain firms. Mutual commitment among supply chain members plays a more pervasive role in generating high-tech innovations. The two results corroborate each other and further illustrate the vital role of the intersection of SCRQ and knowledge management for corporate technological innovations.|실제로 기술 혁신은 기업이 글로벌 경쟁에 대처하고 지속 가능한 발전을 달성하는 데 점점 더 중요한 수단으로 간주되고 있다. 또한 기술 개발 과정에서 공급망 자원에 의존하는 기업도 점차 늘고 있다. 본 연구는 중국 자동차산업에서 Tier 1 및 Tier 2 공급업체의 서베이 데이터와 지식자원 오케스레이션의 프레임워크를 바탕으로 공급망 기업의 기술혁신에 영향을 미치는 요인을 체계적으로 분석하였다. 부트스트래핑 방법을 활용하여 분석한 결과, 공급망 관계 품질(SCRQ)은 지식 공유와 지식 통합의 이중 매개 역할을 통해 기업의 기술 혁신에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 퍼지-셋 질적 비교 분석(fsQCA)을 조사한 결과, 개별 요소가 공급망 기업의 첨단 기술 혁신에 필요한 조건을 구성하지 않는 것으로 나타났지만, 공급망 구성원 간의 상호 약속은 첨단 기술 혁신에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 SCRQ과 지식 관리의 융합이 기업의 기술 혁신에 중요한 역할을 한다는 것을 확인하였다.
