- Abstract
- This study is to investigate the effect of organizational creativity of early childhood education institutions and early childhood teachers' play beliefs on early childhood teachers' play teaching efficacy, and the research questions are as follows.
Research question 1. What is the relationship between organizational creativity of early childhood education institutions, early childhood teachers' play beliefs, and early childhood teachers' play teaching efficacy?
Research question 2. How does the organizational creativity of early childhood education institutions and early childhood teachers' play beliefs affect early childhood teachers' sense of play teaching efficacy?
The subjects of this study were 320 early childhood teachers working at early childhood education institutions located in B and Y cities. In this study, Lee Sae-byeol's Organizational Creativity Scale Development was used to examine the organizational creativity of early childhood educational institutions, and Fogle's (2003)'s The Parent Play Beliefs Scale was used to measure early childhood teachers' play beliefs. Yumi (2008) Adapted and modified, Kwon Hye-jin (2013) reconstructed for early childhood teachers, used the scale used by Son Yeo-ul (2019), and created by Shin Eun-soo, Yoo Young-eui, and Park Hyeon-kyung (2004) to measure the play teaching efficacy of early childhood teachers. Reliability analysis, frequency analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis, and stepwise multiple regression analysis were performed using the SPSS 29.0 statistical program using the play teaching efficacy scale.
The conclusions of the research results and discussions presented in this study are as follows.
First, organizational creativity of early childhood education institutions and early childhood teachers' play beliefs have a significant correlation with early childhood teachers' sense of play teaching efficacy.
Second, organizational creativity of early childhood education institutions and early childhood teachers' play beliefs have a significant effect on early childhood teachers' sense of play teaching efficacy.
As a result, in this study, it was revealed that the variable of organizational creativity of early childhood education institutions and the variable of early childhood teachers' play beliefs affected the early childhood teachers' sense of play teaching efficacy. We know the importance of early childhood teachers' sense of play teaching efficacy based on the early childhood teachers' play beliefs that affect children's play and the organizational creativity of early childhood education institutions that affect early childhood teachers. This suggests that an active support method is needed to increase early childhood teachers' sense of play teaching efficacy.
