프로산하 축구지도자의 역량강화 및 역량저하 동기 분위기가 유소년 축구선수의 욕구, 동기, 그리고 열정에 미치는 영향

Abstract

국문 초록

선수훈련 환경에서 지도자가 조성하는 동기 분위기는 선수들의 심리와 정서에 많은 영향을 미친다. 이 연구는 종단적 관점에서 지도자의 역량 강화 및 역량저하 동기 분위기가 프로산하 유소년 선수들의 심리적 욕구 만족과 욕구 좌절, 자기 결정성 동기 그리고 열정에 미치는 영향력을 검증하였다. 이를 위해 전국에 있는 프로산하 유소년클럽에 소속(U-15, U-18)되어 있는 유소년 축구 선수(TIME 1=316명, TIME 2=286명)들이 이 연구에 참여하였다. 동일한 유소년 축구선수들은 9월 초 ~ 11월 초까지 12주에 걸쳐 1차(사전), 2차(사후) 총 2회 설문에 참여하였다. 수집된 자료는 통계자료 처리를 위해 SPSS Windows용 12.0 프로그램을 사용하였으며, 빈도분석, 기술통계, 상관관계분석, 신뢰도분석, 탐색적 요인분석(타당도), 대응표본 t 검정분석을 진행하였다, 분석결과 첫째, 장기간 지도자가 역량저하 동기 분위기를 조성한다면 유소년 축구선수들의 심리적 욕구좌절이 더 심화 되고 심지어는 무동기를 상태로 이어진다는 것이 밝혀졌다. 둘째, 지도자가 선수 중심의 역량 강화 동기 분위기를 조성한다면 유소년 선수들의 심리적 욕구 만족에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다. 이는 자율동기를 유발하고 열정에 긍정적인 역할을 한다는 것이 밝혀졌다. 셋째. 지도자가 지도자 중심의 역량저하 동기 분위기를 조성한다면 선수들의 심리적 욕구를 좌절시키고 통제 동기와 무동기에 유발한다는 것이 밝혀졌다. 이는 선수 중심의 긍정적인 동기 분위기가 유소년 선수들의 긍정적인 동기과정과 열정에 중요한 역할을 한다는 것과 지도자 중심의 부정적인 동기 분위기는 유소년 선수들의 부정적인 동기과정에 영향을 미치는 중요한 역할을 한다는 것을 제시함과 동시에 장기간 지도자의 지도방식이 변화하지 않고 고착된다면 선수들의 심리적 욕구를 좌절시키고 더 나아가 무동기에 이르게 한다는 것을 밝혀냈다. 결국, 지도자 역할의 중요성과 더불어 새로운 훈련 접근방법 및 선수 중심의 훈련환경을 구축하기 위한 지도자 교육이 중요하다는 것을 시사한다. |Abstract

The present study examined the influence of empowering and disempowering motivation climate created by coach on the psychological needs, motivations, and passion of youth football players from a longitudinal perspective. In this study, participants were youth football players (N=T1: 316, T2: 289) who belong to professional youth football club and asked to complete self-reported questionnaires to measure passion, self-determined motivation, psychological needs, empowering and disempowering motivational climate. Using statistics programs, descriptive statistics, reliability (i.e., Cronbach α), exploratory factor analysis, matched pair t-test, correlation analysis and regression analysis were used in this study. The primary findings indicated that coach disempowering motivational climate had a positive influence on the psychological need frustration and amotivation of youth football players. The coach empowering motivational climate had a positive influence on psychological need satisfaction, autonomous motivation and passion (i.e., harmonious passion and obsessive passion). Overall, the results suggest that the coach empowering motivational climate had a direct effect the psychological need satisfaction, autonomous motivation and passion. Whereas coach disempowering motivational climate had a direct effect the psychological need frustration, control motivation and amotivation in youth football players. In conclusion, the spillover effect of coach motivational climate on psychological needs, motivation and passion among youth football players demonstrated that coach is the powerful predictor of creating a supportive motivational climate.
