디지털 미세유체 시스템의 자동화를 위한 맞춤형 디스펜싱 시스템의 설계, 제작 및 제어에 관한 연구
- Abstract
- Digital microfluidics is a technology that controls small water droplets in various ways, such as electricity and magnetism. Since the water droplets are individually controlled, each water droplet can be used as a reactor. It is used in various fields such as chemical reactions, 3D printing, and biotechnology due to its small volume, low reagent consumption, and fast reaction speed. These digital microfluidic technologies are specialized in controlling the movement of droplets, and therefore lack technologies for supplying or separating droplets, except for some specific technologies. In order to diversify and automate experiments, additional technology is needed to supply the necessary reagents. Among them, the most widely used technology is drop on demand printing technology, which supplies droplets at the desired time using electrohydrodynamic, piezoelectric, and acoustophoretic technologies. To use these technologies, a syringe pump that supplies samples stably is essential. However, using a syringe pump not only increases the size, but also has the limitation of making it difficult to connect or replace channels. Therefore, this study proposes an Electromagnet Dispensing and Suction (EMDS) system using a solenoid actuator as a system that can replace this.
