헤도닉 가격모형을 이용한 어선거래 가격 결정요인 분석

Abstract

In recent years, the population of fishing villages has decreased rapidly, and the reduction of fishing villages is accelerating due to the low birth rates and aging of fishing workers. To address this issue, a support program for returning to fisheries, returning to fishing villages, and supporting young fishermen has been implemented. The trading of fishing boats is increasing as the population of fishing villages grows. This study analyzed the determinants of the value of fishing boats using transaction price data of used fishing boats. In addition, it estimates the intrinsic value of fishing grounds and fisheries resources using a hedonic price model. Based on this, a standard for establishing the fishing boats transaction prices is introduced. For the analysis, data was collected from 193 fishing boats registered in the fishing boat trading system from 2019 to 2022. According to the analysis of the hedonic price model, which is used for valuation of non-market goods, the Double Log model was selected as the most suitable model. It was found that the independent variables had 79.7% coefficient of determination, indicating no multicollinearity and no heteroscedasticity among all independent variables. As a result, the analysis identified boat tonnage as the variables with the most significant effect on its transaction price, as it was found to have the highest coefficient. Furthermore, age, diesel engines for land vehicles, and Catch Per Unit Effort(CPUE) followed in significance. In particular, the marginal price of the CPUE variable, which can estimate the value of fishing grounds and fisheries resources, was analyzed to be 1,994,388 KRW. It was found that the abundance of fishing grounds significantly influenced the prices of fishing boats. This study aimed to estimate the intrinsic value of fisheries resources through fishing boats prices and to propose standards for the transactions of used fishing boats. Consequently, it emphasizes the importance of addressing the issue of disappearing fishing villages and preserving fisheries. Finally, it is expected to contribute to the sustainability of fisheries and fishing villages.
