이주노동자의 심리적 적응 경험에 관한 질적 메타분석

Abstract

본 연구는 이주노동자의 심리적 적응 경험에 관한 연구를 질적 메타분석 하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 분석에는 2010년부터 2023년까지 KCI에 등재된 국내 학술 지 4편, 학술지 등재후보 1편, 박사학위논문 3편, 석사학위논문 2편까지 총 10편을 포함하였다. 선정된 연구물을 분석하여 이주노동자의 심리적 적응 경험을 ‘부정적 심리 적응’, ‘긍정적 심리 적응’으로 명명한 두 가지 분류의 심리적 적응 경험을 도 출하였다. 이어 ‘신체적 고통과 불편감’, ‘체류 신분 때문에 불안함’, ‘차별을 받음’, ‘정체성 혼란’, ‘외부와 단절된 삶’, ‘한국 문화에 익숙해 짐’, ‘한국에서 당당하게 있 을 수 있게 됨’, ‘사회적지지 체계가 만들어짐’, ‘고국의 가족과 나은 미래를 희망 함’에 대한 아홉가지 하위범주로 구분하였다. 결과로는 신체장해와 인권침해 경험, 체류신분이 불안할수록 부정적 심리 적응 경험을 하였다. 반면에 한국어 의사소통 능력이 향상되어 체류자격을 변경한 경우, 사회적지지 체계가 견고할수록 긍정적 심리 적응 경험을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 논의에서는 확인한 요인과 진술을 바탕 으로 이주노동자의 심리적 적응 경험을 각각의 핵심 개념에 따라 기술하였다. 본 연구는 이주노동자를 대상으로 이주 후 적응 과정에서 경험하는 심리적 적응 에 관한 연구 및 상담 현장에서 활용할 수 있는 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 이 를 바탕으로 본 연구의 시사점과 제한점과 향후 연구의 방향을 제시하였다.|The purpose of this study is to conduct a qualitative meta-analysis on the psychological adaptation experiences of migrant workers. The analysis included a total of 10 articles, comprising 4 domestic academic journals listed in the Korean Citation Index (KCI) from 2010 to 2023, 1 journal under consideration for inclusion, 3 doctoral dissertations, and 2 master's theses. Through the analysis of the selected studies, two categories of psychological adaptation experiences of immigrant workers were derived and named 'negative psychological adaptation' and 'positive psychological adaptation.' Subsequently, nine subcategories were identified, including 'physical pain and discomfort,' 'anxiety due to residency status,' 'experience of discrimination,' 'identity confusion,' 'disconnected life from the outside world,' 'familiarization with Korean culture,' 'ability to confidently exist in Korea,' 'formation of social support systems,' and 'hoping for a better future for family in the home country.' In conclusion, it was found that negative psychological adaptation experiences were associated with physical disabilities, human rights violations, and insecurity in residency status. On the other hand, improved proficiency in the Korean language leading to a change in residency status and a robust social support system were associated with positive psychological adaptation experiences. In the discussion, the identified factors and statements were used to describe the psychological adaptation experiences of migrant workers according to each key concept. This study aims to provide foundational data for research on and counseling interventions related to the psychological adaptation of migrant workers in the post-migration period. Based on these findings, implications and limitations of the study are discussed, and directions for future research are suggested.
