중등교사 대인관계 척도 개발 및 타당화

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop and validate an interpersonal relations scale for secondary school teachers. The study was conducted in two phases. In Study 1, the sub-factors of interpersonal relationships of secondary school teachers were extracted and preliminary items were constructed through a review of existing literature, focus group interviews, open-ended questionnaires, and individual interviews. A tentative scale was then finalized through two content validity reviews with a panel of eight experts, and a preliminary survey of 64 secondary school teachers was conducted to examine the item validity, reliability, and normality of the preliminary items, and an exploratory factor analysis was conducted to derive 32 items that were finally organized into seven subfactors. These seven subfactors were: communication, rapport, caring, trust, empathy, openness, and problem-solving. In Study 2, we collected data from 426 secondary school teachers to validate the final scale. Specifically, exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were conducted to confirm the structural validity of the scale, and convergent and discriminant validity were secured. In addition, the results of the face validity test using the existing interpersonal competence scale and the predictive validity test using the emotional competence, job satisfaction, and teacher burnout scales confirmed that the reliability and validity of the final scale were adequate. Thus, this study provided a framework for understanding the interpersonal relationships of secondary school teachers in a multidimensional way and presented a scale that reflects the various relational challenges that teachers face. This scale can be used as a basis for exploring how teachers' interpersonal relationships are related to job satisfaction, emotional stability, and burnout, and is expected to contribute to various research and practical applications for diagnosing the relational characteristics of secondary school teachers and improving educational and organizational environments. Finally, limitations of the study and suggestions for further research are presented.|본 연구는 중등교사의 대인관계 척도를 개발하고 타당도를 검증하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 두 단계로 나누어 연구를 진행하였다. 연구 1에서는 기존 문헌 고찰, 포커스 그룹 인터뷰, 개방형 설문, 개별 면담을 통해 중등교사 대인관계의 하위요인을 추출하고 예비 문항을 구성하였다. 이후 8명의 전문가 패널을 대상으로 두 차례의 내용타당도 검토를 거쳐 잠정적인 척도를 확정하였으며, 예비 조사에서 64명의 중등교사를 대상으로 예비 문항의 문항 양호도, 신뢰도, 정규성을 검토하고 탐색적 요인분석을 통해 최종적으로 7개 하위요인으로 구성된 32문항을 도출하였다. 이 하위요인에는 ‘의사소통,’ ‘유대감,’ ‘배려심,’ ‘신뢰감,’ ‘공감,’ ‘개방성,’ ‘문제해결력’이 포함되었다. 연구 2에서는 본 조사를 통해 426명의 중등교사 자료를 수집하여 최종 척도의 타당성을 검증하였다. 구체적으로 탐색적 요인분석과 확인적 요인분석을 통해 척도의 구조적 타당성을 확인하였으며, 수렴 타당도 및 변별 타당도를 확보하였다. 또한, 기존의 대인관계 유능성 척도를 활용한 공인 타당도 검증과 정서역량, 직무만족도, 교사소진 척도를 활용한 예언 타당도 검증 결과, 최종 척도의 신뢰도와 타당도가 적절함을 확인하였다. 이를 통해 본 연구는 중등교사의 대인관계를 다차원적으로 이해할 수 있는 틀을 제공하였으며, 교사가 직면하는 다양한 관계적 과제를 반영한 척도를 제시하였다. 본 척도는 교사의 대인관계가 직무만족, 정서적 안정, 소진 등과 어떻게 연관되는지 탐구할 수 있는 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있으며, 중등교사의 관계적 특성을 진단하고 교육적, 조직적 환경 개선을 위한 다양한 연구와 실천적 적용에 기여할 것으로 기대된다. 마지막으로, 연구의 제한점과 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다.
