A Experimental Study on thermal load reduction of rooftop using rainwater
Abstract
The Flat roof type has thermal condition poorly. The two model were made to be improved thermal load reduction of flat roof type. The one is stored rainwater on the flat roof, the other is not stored rainwater on the flat roof.
(1)The surface temperature of the stored rainwater in the roof top is showed average 6.2℃ lower than the surface temperature of existing roof by evaporation and thermal resistance.
(2)The ceiling surface temperature of the stored rainwater in the roof top is showed 0.1℃ lower than the surface temperature of existing roof on the condition of exposed outdoor.
(3)As the surface temperature is affected by the conductive heat transfer through roof, the stored rainwater in the roof top is showed 1.9 w/㎡ compared to the existing roof.
(4)The reduction of heat load is achieved by evaporation of the stored rainwater in the top roof is related air temperature, humidity and air velocity.
