Development of In-mold Injection Molding Process For 3D Shape Parts
Abstract
In-mold injection molding system, as advanced version of general injection molding system, is Mold and Injection technique of Molding Simultaneous Printing method which transport special printed film automatically to the position which you wished by a sensor in the separate feeder drive system(In-mold feeder) and then, print the film to plastic molding surface by generation of heat and pressure of plastic resin injected simultaneously with Injection molding. The technology is mostly applied to a higher value added home appliances, designs of telecommunication apparatus like as cell phones and products required high quality appearance.
In the case of molded materials including 3D nurb-surface, this system has compositive problem according to elongation percentage of film and printing layers because the film is not formed as curved surface but printed.
For this research, we focused on technique of printing, molding fixation of film and injection molding in order to solve above problem.
