한국과 미국의 여성정치참여에 관한 비교연구

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to seek the counterplan to activate the women's political participation from the feminist theory. Generally, feminist theory is trying to change and challenge against the intention which is devaluated women's value and make against women's advantages. This study start with the hypothesis that women's political participation would widely increase to develop democratic value and ideas, even women are out of favor in political situation. Following this point, I will survey the process and situation of political participation and women's movement in Korea and America and finally suggest counterplan of women's political participation with the view of feminist theory. To increase in Korean women's political participation, we would make up for system rather than depend on gradual improvement in policies of women's political participation. Recently, each political parties are trying to improve the their images as developing the policy toward women concerning female voter, appointing female leader through the quota system, but in order to increase the women's political participation, they should support the women to make women play important role in political party rather than present their interest toward women.
