Free Riding을 감소시키기 위한 평판 기반의 P2P 파일공유서비스

Abstract

P2P 파일 공유 서비스에서 서비스를 이용하는 모든 사용자들은 동등한 권한으로 자유롭게 여러 사용자들의 공유 파일을 이용할 수 있기 때문에, 자신의 파일에 대한 공유 없이 다른 사용자들의 공유 파일을 다운로드만 하는 "free riding" 문제가 빈번하게 발생하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 문제를 해결하기 위하여 기존의 파일 공유 서비스에 특정 사용자와 트랜잭션 경험이 있는 사용자들에 의해 남겨진 "평판(Reputation)" 정보를 적용하여 서비스 참여자들의 과거 행동에 관한 정보를 수집하고, 여러 사용자들이 해당 정보를 자유롭게 볼 수 있도록 제공하여 사용자들의 서비스기여도를 고려함으로써, "free riding" 문제를 해결할 수 있는 방안을 제안한다. 또 평판 정보를 구성하는 과거 트랜잭션 경험이 있는 사용자들에 의해 남겨진 평가 값은 사용자 개개인의 주관적인 의견이므로 다른 사용자들이 준 평가와 전혀 다른 평가를 줄 수 있다. 이와 같은 경우 확률적으로 다른 평가를 보낸 사용자들의 의견이 잘못되었다고 판단할 수 있고, 파일 공유 서비스에서는 이러한 사용자들을 "liar"라 하고, 이들이 보내는 평가 값이 평판 계산에 영향을 미치는 것을 감소시키기 위한 방안을 제안한다.

P2P file sharing service can let all users use several users' shared files freely with equal authority, and this causes "Free riding" problem that download other users' shared filers without sharing their own file. In this paper, to solve such problems, we collect information about users' past action applying "Reputation" information left by specific user and users who have transaction experience in existent file sharing service, and propose solution that can solve "Free riding" problem by offering and considering users' service contribution through having several users search relevant information freely. Also, evaluation value has left by users with transaction experience which composes reputation information could give entirely different evaluation value comparing to current value, because each user has a subjective opinion. In this case, opinion of users with different evaluation value could be judged wrong and we call such users as "Liar" in file sharing service and proposes solution to reduce the influence that such users are sending wrong information to reputation computation.
