교사가 지각하는 학교장의 성격 특성과 교사의 직무만족도와의 관계

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 교사가 지각하는 학교장의 성격특성은 어떠하며, 교사의 직무만족도는 어떠한지를 파악하고, 교사가 지각하는 학교장의 성격 특성과 교사의 직무 만족도와의 상관 관계를 규명하는데 있다. 이러한 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 본 연구에서 활용한 연구방법은 다음과 같다. 1. 연구대상은 부산광역시 교육청 내의 일반계 국공립 고등학교 12개교에 근무하는 교사 전원을 대상으로 한다. 2. 실태 분석을 위하여 고등학교 교사 465명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고 연구결과를 요약 하면 다음과 같다. 가. 학교장의 성격 특성에 대한 전체 교사들의 지각을 분석한 결과, 교사들은 학교장의 성격 특 성에 대하여 긍정적인 태도를 지니고 있는 것으로 나타났으며,학교장이 보이는 친화성과 성실성을 가장 높이 평정함을 알 수 있었다. 나. 교사의 직무만족도에 대한 전체교사들의 지각 분석결과 ,역시 자신의 직무만족도에 대하여 긍 정적으로 지각하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 다. 학교장의 성격 특성이 직무 만족도에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과 성격 특성 전체는 직무만족도 전체와 R=.39 정도의 상관을 지님으로써 높은 정적관계를 나타냈으며, 영향력 또한 15.2%로 비교적 높게 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 남교사의 경우는 교사의 직무만족도에 학교장의 성격 특성 중 친화성이 대체로 큰 영향을 미치며 여교사의 경우에는 학교장의 성격 특성 중 정서적 안정성이 더 큰 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이는 교사의 직무만족도에 미치는 학교장의 성격 특성이 성별에 따라 다른 영향을 미친다는 것을 재확인할 수 있는 계기가 되었다.

The purpose of this study is to look into teacher’s perceptions of their principal’s personality and of teacher’s job satisfaction levels. In addition, this study also examines the interrelationship between the principal's perceived personality and teacher’s job satisfaction. In order to perform this study, The following research methods were applied as follows: a. The subjects for this research are teachers who work in 12 general national public high schoolsinBusan. b. For the purposes of analysis, a questionnaire was handed out to465 teachers of these high schools. The results of this research are as follows. 1. In the case of teacher’s attitudes towards their principal's personality, teachers showed positive attitudes and regarded the friendship and sincerity of their principal as the most important factor in thinking about their principal’s personality. 2. With regard to job satisfaction, the teachersquestioned showed a high level of contentment with their position. 3. With regards to the interrelationship between the principal's personalityand the teacher's job satisfaction, a significant statistical correlation was found between the two (r=.39). This means that the relationship between the two is very strong, and that each highly influences the other (15.2%). The conclusion reached from the research performed in this study is that the personality of their principal has a great influence on the job satisfaction level of teachers. The data also suggests that this relationship has more influence on female teachers than on male teachers. The data collected in this study also suggests that the personality of their principal plays an important role when teachers consider their degree of job satisfaction.
