초고속선도망(KOREN)을 이용한 실시간 화상교육 시스템의 설계 및 구현

- Abstract
- World is changing into global society with endless development of information technology. Thus, system for remote education to train the global manpower is urgently required. Most of the remote education until now use asynchronous method. Asynchronous remote education is difficult for both instructor and student to communicate each other, that it has low education efficiency. Thus, synchronous method using real-time video and voice is required.
This thesis proposes architecture for international real-time video lecture system using the KOREN(KOrea advanced REsearch Network) and APII(Asia-Pacific Information Infrastructure) network, and verifies the possibility for adopting system based on test case in university between Japan and Korea.
Remote education system is builded with Access Grid System. Using four camera transmitting 352*288 size picture by 25 frame per second, it can bring high quality video with low traffic. Also, this architecture imports VoIP and web storage to perform the sub function of remote education, and constructs network monitoring system using MRTG(Multi Router Traffic Grapher).
Using this system, remote education would be performed in university between Japan and Korea, and network traffic would be estimated. Based on that experiment, this thesis verifies the possibility for adopting proposed system on current researching network.
