The research about efficient performance assessment method based on parents' participation
Abstract
The basic purpose of performance assessment is qualitative assessment which can estimate highly cognitive process of students, the scholar achievement based on process. However, performance assessment is not conducted well and distorted owing to several problems happening in school, so it has fallen into biased method of verification. Therefore, this research tried to find more efficient method of performance assessment in order to overcome result-oriented assessment problem and lack of constant feedback which can deteriorate motivation of students, and it eventually deduced the method with parents' participation.
Unfortunately, the parents are unprofessional applicants who can't fully conduct performance assessment. Therefore, this research puts specialty and objectivity on activities of parents so that they can participate in performance assessment as an individual and estimate scholar establishment of students better.
This research expected that the participation of parents would activate examinations of students' academic ability, offer feedback for following class preparation of teachers and contribute to efficient performance assessment. Also, it suggested new class method in detail with participation of parents, and prepared new method of parental participation as it offered checklist, which enables substantial inspection of parents.
Proactive participation of parents would be foundation which can offer appropriate supplementary or extended class to students upon their academic status, and would bring about synergy effect of home schooling and school classes which eventually contributes to development of public education.
The subjects of education are required to make constant efforts in school as well as in home to induce participation of parents. Moreover, more researches concerning the participation of parents are expected as well.
