- Abstract
- In recent years, interest in the safety of existing prestressed concrete(PSC) bridge has been increased. Prestressed concrete is defined as concrete in which there have been introduced internal stresses of such magnitudes and distribution that the stresses resulting from given external loading are counteracted to a desired degree. The prestress force which is one of unknown parameters in the PSC bridges is introduced to control crack formation in concrete, to reduce deflections, and to add strength to the prestressed members. Therefore, a substantial difference between the desired and the in-service prestress forces can lead to severe and critical serviceability and safety problems.
The objective of this study is to experimentally analyze the vibration response and the impedance response characteristics of the prestressed concrete(PSC) girder by prestrss-loss. The following approaches are used to achieve the research goal. Firstly, the analysis method for vibration response characteristic was selected. Secondly, the analysis method for impedance response characteristic was selected. Thirdly, the prestressed concrete(PSC) girder, which was tested to measure vibration response and impedance response on a lab, is described. Finally, the vibration response and impedance response characteristics, which was obtained from test structure by damage scenarios, were analyzed by using selected analysis method.
