The Study on the Combustion Characteristics by Controlling Supplied Air of Bunsen burner Using at Gas Kiln
Abstract
This study was experimentally and numerically performed to get the flame structure and exhaust gas characteristics of bunsen burner using at gas kiln. At first, changing fuel flow rate(4, 5 and 6 νmin) and air ratio, the flame stability ranges were found by direct photography of flame. And concentrations of various chemical species and mean temperature were measured when fuel flow rate 5 νmin, air ratio was supplied to α=0.8, 1.0 and 1.2, when air ratio 1.2, fuel flow rate was supplied to 4, 5 and 6 νmin. Also, numerical analysis for the flow of combustor was conducted under the condition.
As a Result of photographing, the flame couldn't seldom stabilized on 4 νmin. Considering the flame stability, all condition at the fuel flow rate 4, 5 and 6 νmin were most excellent to be supplied over air ratio 0.7 .
And at the fuel flow rate 5 νmin, temperature of flame was increased with increasing supplied air quantity by Blower. The concentration distributions of various chemical species were best at condition of α=1.2.
Temperature of flame and the concentration distributions of various chemical species at the supplied bunsen burner were compared with that at induced bunsen burner.
The result of numerical calculation showed at the flow rate 6 νmin and air ratio 1.2. In compare with the result of experiments, the current numerical calculation method well predicted velocity distribution and the combustion characteristics of bunsen burner.
