Abstract

Kimhye(金海) which is located in the mouth of a Nacdong Rive(洛東江)r was the center of ancient Kaya. Since Kaya had begun producing iron, it became a center of international trade among Samhan(三韓). It said that the growth of period was between second and third century when the foreign civilization was increased. And it is generally said that the reason why Kaya was developed is iron and the advantage of location. Thus, there is no doubt that Kaya is the leader of the first term Kaya during the developing period. Overall the weather of from 1C to 3C was cold time which was a formative period in Kaya. Particularly from 2C to 3C was cold, so it was called as little ice age, and it is going to discover by literature of China and geological surveys of Japan. Kimhae Plain was the sea at that time, we could found out through the literature the fact that Kaya was the country with small portion of land. As the result of the small portion of land, Kaya was focusing on run paralleling farming and fhishing. At this time the weather got cold, so it occurred problems for crop production. And the demands of marine products increased. As the result, the number of shell mound increased. The abnormal weather of a formative period of Kaya was better rather than before. Livelihood which using the sea and river brought into relief although the crop production was decreased compared with that of inland. As the needs of marine products was getting increased, they needed a huge amount of seafood. Consequently, they might go far away to fish and they might need firm ships and tools. Therefore, the advanced activity of fishing would be a significant role in trade. We look into the change of living according to the climate and the development of Kaya.
