Thermal Environment Evaluation for Remodeling of Ventilation Equipment at Subway Station Platforms
Abstract
Comfort ventilation problems were important in subway because of increasing time of taking a subway. Specially, Platform temperature is almost more high than ground temperature in environment of subway station platforms, so that problems is happened. Ventilation equipment performs a cental role to maintain comfort subway environment. So ventilation equipment of Busan subway first line is needed to remodel because it becomes superannuated as using for 15 years. In this study, condition of thermal environment is presented to remodel ventilation equipment at existing subway station platforms by measuring thermal environment of platforms operated ventilation equipment at 14 stations of Busan subway first line. Conclusively, temperature appeared 3 to 5℃ high than outdoor air temperature in subway station platforms, so thermal environment of platform is influenced by outdoor air temperature considering a clear day and cloudy day. Considering temperature, humidity and air current in subway station platforms, they displayed similar tendency with value of discomfort index as result in calculating PMV and PPD, so there was not improvable effect by wind when train is or not in platform. It is reviewed that air washer is installed using underground water and surface water at the side of air system's admission in short term, and that a refrigerating machine is installed for air-conditioning in long term to improve thermal environment in subway station platforms.
