Abstract

The living standard of modern people has improved by the benefit of scientific civilization. But in mental area they cannot accept various cultures stably and are suffering from stress and neurosis. While only men and women of the particular classes enjoyed the tea culture in the past, whoever wants to enjoy it can do so. One of main factors to cause such change is well-being. Well-being would seem to be a social campaign which helps people get eco-friendly habits and promotes their physical and mental health. Tea is a representative well-being food. Tea life is making various types of tea culture according to individual needs. Modern tea poem, an axis of tea culture, blends with the mental world of modern people. Tea poem was based on ideas and philosophy to lead the times and formed the mental world so called "Seondailyeo" by combining with Zen thoughts of Buddhism. It also completed the world of "Poongryu" and style as an idea to be united with nature through tea ceremony and alchemy of perennial youth and long life of the Zen sect. In modern times, tea poem takes a step forward departing from a passive attitude of the past. In other words, tea poem is expanding its territory by combining with material culture of modern times and various types of tea culture. Korean tea poem has developed with tea cultures like Yeondeunghoe of Buddhism, tea ceremony at Court, Uiryeeumda, Poongryueumda, Sammaeeumda and Yakyongeumda, which have been formed by way of Gaya, Goguryo, Baikje, Silla, Koryo and Chosun. In addition, Choui Jang Ui-soon, Dasan Jeong Yak-yong and Choosa Kim Jeong-hee took over mental tradition and tea poem of ancestors. Many poets, including Yukdang and Manhae, wrote tea poems in modern times. Peculiarities to describe development of korean modern tea poem are as follows. Korean modern tea poems deals with various themes like eco-friend, tea ceremony, aesthetics of goodness, tradition, education, comfor of life, friendship, communication, social consensus and cultivating emotional character and treatment effects through educating tea ceremony. Modern tea poets specially suggest the point that tea and Zen are not two but one. Findings to analyze and obtain korean tea poems showed that they mostly stood for mind of tea ceremony of Korea to be a origin of Hwajaengsasang of Wonhyo. The view of life which korean tea poems contained was a reconciliation with nature. Also in them there was a modest experimental mind to respect even a tree or a plant. As a result of examining the effect which tea poem have influence on modern people and modern poem, we found the fact that korean modern tea poem became an axis and a system of modern poem in the side of mental history.
