Abstract

In previous studies about compound verb 「kakeru, it has been discussed that 「kakeru」has two aspect meanings depending on the types of the verb connecting the preceding clause. One is 「before the start」 and the other is 「after the start」. The aspect meaning of compound verb 「kakeru」which have been discussed in previous studies is as follows: In previous studies, the decision whether it is located to the before start or later is dependent on the types of the preceding paragraph. if it is unclear, however, there is not described sufficiently. Therefore, it is required a new way that including unused portion that have been researched. In this paper, it brings out the case representing both 「before beginning and after」from a complex verb 「kakeru」and is described as follows. Already addressed the 「Inchoative Aktionsart」 and 「Prospective Aktionsart」 has not passed on, but 「before beginning and after」 can also indicate that all could see. It was explained Compound verb as「kakeru」 an existing meaning 「Inchoative Aktionsart」 based on 「completed」concept giving an example. We know that "Complete" assumes the 「verb + kakeru」form, but the actual meaning is close to the action or activity which is already shut down or close at the end. In addition, the context may be affected by the adverb or the noun which represents the time as well as the types of the verb which connects before or after the sentence.
