영어와 관련한 국어 로마자 표기 실태

Abstract

This paper is to review the use of the Korean Romanization System. This system is based on a group of individuals names, numerous cultural properties, enterprises, banks, and the names of newspaper publishing companies for a 6 sample survey. The findings are as follows. 1. As Appendix shows the name of the streets resulted in 100% being correct in this system as it has been led by governmental experts. 2. The person's name in Korean has also been shown to have a 20% similarity to the English alphabet. There is a mixture between Korean and English in this system. This is influenced by the studying level of English pronunciation fluency and spelling fluency from elementary school to university. 3. The names of the enterprises, universities, the banks, and private companies are shown to have the English alphabet as part of this system. Even though it has been about 10 years since the law of the Romanization systems which begun for the introduction of the existence and eventual mastery of this language is still a long way from perfection. To cope with the Internet society in this global age, it is recommended that we should all prepare as best as possible through the immersion of the Romanization System.
