초등학생들의 다문화 인식 분석에 의한 다문화 교육 내용 연구

Abstract
As a result of globalization South Korea is rapidly becoming multi-cultural society. So there are many studies on multi-culturalism in many sectors including social and educational fields. Most of the studies are focusing on the difficulties that multi-cultural families and students have living in South Korea, and how to make them quickly one of the members of South Korea. However there're not enough studies about general students who are getting along with them(multi-cultural students) in the future that is more multi-cultural society than now.
So I surveyed elementary school students' multi-cultural awareness from 4th to 6th grader of both an elementary school that has multi-cultural students and an elementary school that has no multi-cultural students with a questionaries.
The findings are as follows.
First, the elementary students' multi-cultural awareness the area that related to them is more negative than general area. Second, both boys and girls in the general area of ​​multi-cultural awareness are more positive than the area that related to them. Third, the students' multi-cultural awareness of an elementary school that has multi-cultural students is more positive than the students' multi-cultural awareness of an elementary school that has no multi-cultural students in the area that related to them.
Based on the results of analysis of the elementary school students' multi-cultural awareness I extracted the contents that were related multi-cultural education doing analysis each grade curriculum. Also, I presented the activation of CCAP and inroduced the examples of various medias can be used for multi-cultural education to improve multi-cultural awareness the area that related to the students.
From the result of this study, following implications are derived.
First, It is needed the development of media materials that show objectively the culture of many countries around the world. Second, It is needed the quantitative increase text books to improve a multi-cultural awareness about developing countries. Third, It is needed the survey of teachers' multi-cultural awareness the area that related to them(teachers) because they affect elementary school students in many ways and areas. Finally, I think 'peer teacher program' is a good idea to improve awareness about the minority, multi-cultural families and students, foreigners and the cultures that they have in South Korea. In this case, the general Korean students can remove the prejudice about them during teaching Korean to them. And the multi-cultural students can also learn Korean that is one of the most difficult things they feel living in South Korea.
