해역환경∙이용 특성을 고려한 해저케이블 보호공법 개발에 대한 연구

Abstract
Generally, submarine cable protection methods have been used to bury the submarine cables. However, due to special spatial conditions such as fishing farms and fishing ships, various types of protection methods have been accepted in Korea, such as burial submarine cables, continuous concrete mattresses, cast iron pipes, u-ducts, concrete bags, rock berms, mortar bags and flexible concrete mattresses. As a result, protection methods that have been constructed so far have only taken damage factors of the submarine cables into consideration, without considering characteristics of the sea condition and utilization.
Therefore, this study was done to evaluate stability of submarine cable protection methods through various experiments for damage factor such as field tests, hydraulic experiments and structural analyses. And we have studied to develop submarine cable protection methods considering the sea condition and utilization characteristics.
First, we analyzed protection methods in each section by using the HVDC #1 project, a HVDC submarine cable construction project between Haenam and Jeju. We suggested protection methods allow for damage factor as well as characteristics of the ocean environment through check the abnormal section of the HVDC #1 project. Protection methods suggested the HVDC #1 project have been applied the HVDC #2 project, a HVDC submarine cable construction project between Jin-do and Jeju. We have estimated the external forces of damage factors for the sea condition. And we have done the hydraulic experiments and have reviewed the hydraulic stability of submarine cable protection methods for currents and waves.
Also, we have developed protection methods considering characteristics of the sea condition and utilization. It has been conducted structural analyses of impact and field tests for damage factors such as variations of the seabed conditions, piles of fish farm, anchor drop of ships.
Consequently, this study will be utilized as a basis data for economic and optimized design of submarine cable protection methods.
